Delete your Zeze account

You can delete your account yourself in the Zeze app at any time. If you can’t sign in, you can ask us by email.

Delete it in the app

Me → Account and security → Delete account

Works the same in the iPhone, iPad and Android apps, the desktop apps and the web app (app.zeze.com). On a computer, “Me” is your avatar in the top-left corner.

  1. Review the workspaces that will be affected.
  2. Tap “Email me a code” and enter the 6-digit code we send to your sign-in email.
  3. Your account is deleted immediately. We send a confirmation to that email.

If you are the only owner or admin of a workspace that has other members, the app asks you to transfer admin rights or delete that workspace first.

What is deleted

  • Your sign-in account: your email address and name are removed right away and can’t be restored. You are signed out on every device.
  • Workspaces where you are the only member are deleted together with all their data.
  • All AI apps you connected lose access, and pending invitations and join requests are cancelled.

What is kept, and for how long

  • Workspace content belongs to the organization: messages you sent, files and sites stay in the workspace under your display name. Your work account there is frozen (it can’t sign in and is hidden from the directory) and the workspace admins are notified. This content is kept until the organization deletes it or deletes the workspace.
  • Server backups are kept for at most 14 days.
  • Technical data such as sign-in history and error reports is kept for at most 12 months.
  • If you sign up again later with the same email, it will be a new account.

Can’t sign in?

Email [email protected] from the email address you signed up with, with the subject “Delete my account”.

We confirm the request by replying to that address and complete it within 30 days. The same rules about what is deleted and kept apply.

Deleting a whole workspace

A workspace’s messages and files can only be deleted by the organization. Ask your workspace admin, or if you are the owner, delete the workspace in the app. Its server data is removed immediately and backups are kept for at most 14 days.
